More information

Speaking of Roth violins, the instruments made by Roth himself before the war are all very valuable, the low-end ones are worth about $8,500 (equivalent to 210 million VND), the high-end ones are worth $13,000 (equivalent to 320 million VND). The violins made in the 1950s and 1960s are similarly regarded and this is a high-end German brand that is so well made that it can be said to be different from Roth’s modern violins. As you can see from the photos, this violin is carefully crafted with high quality materials and very fine finishing on the scroll on the neck. Here is a list of the grades of the previous Roth violins: Ⅰ-R: copy of Stradivari 1714 Ⅱ-R: copy of Guarneri 1734 Ⅲ-R: copy of Amati Ⅳ-R: copy of Stradivari 1718 Ⅴ-R: copy of Ruggieri Ⅵ-R: copy of Guarneri 1732 Ⅶ-R: copy of Stradivari 1722 Ⅷ-R: copy of Stradivari 1724 Ⅸ-R: copy of Guarneri 1736 Ⅹ-R: copy of Stradivari 1725 XI-R: The highest grade model beyond the standard models listed above. This violin is a Stradivari 1716 replica XI-R model with the logo engraved on the back end of the neck. Additionally, the XI-R level is equivalent to EHRoth’s #72 guitar. Guitar #72 is selling new for around $8500. The 1971 guitar is made of better materials and is worth much more than new guitars.
