Albert Caressa (1866 – 1939) – Violin and bow maker

Albert Caressa studied art at Gand & Bernardel, collaborating with Henri Français in the Caressa & Français firm from 1901 to 1920 when Mr. Français retired.

Caressa continued to operate the company then under the name Albert Caressa until he retired in 1938.

Violins followed the Lupot model, many were labeled Gustave Bernardel. He also crafted the bow under the brand name CARESSA.
